Blading, Taping and Cupping

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization often referred to as "scraping" or "blading" is a manual therapeutic technique that uses therapeutic instruments to promote mobilization of tight, sore and or restricted tissues. Essentially, "blading" is a form of massage on a specific area that a practitioner will use a stainless-steel tool instead of their hands to help reduce pain, promote blood flow and break up muscle spasms/tightness, inflammation, scar tissue and other ailments.

Kinesiology is the study of how the body moves. Kinesiology tape is made to move with your body instead of restricting it like tradition athletic tape. Kinesiology tape is placed in specific patterns, that our practitioners are trained in, to help reduce pain, help adjustments hold, decrease muscle spasm/fatigue and reduce swelling and inflammation. Kinesiology tape is made to be able to stick for multiple days. The tape is also made to get wet, stick through sweat and be worn through physical activity.

Cupping is a tissue decompression technique that uses therapeutic silicone cups to help create space between your tissues which will help promote blood flow and reduce pain and inflammation.  Although cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy that can be traced back thousands of years, cupping became VERY popular during the 2016 Olympics when famous athletes, such as Micheal Phelps and Simone Biles used this technique as part of their performance and recovery therapies.

Blading, taping and cupping can be used on MANY different skeletal muscular issues... shoulder pain, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, elbow pain, shin splints... you name it blading, taping and cupping may help! AND can be used in combination with each other.

We use silicone cups, stainless-steel blades and latex- free kinesiology tape manufactured by the brand RockTape.
