Custom Orthotics

Custom Orthotics by Foot Levelers

Powell Chiropractic Clinic now has custom-made spinal pelvic stabilizers for you and your lifestyle.  We have chosen to work with Foot Levelers to bring you a Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer that will provide the comfort, support and protection needed to balance your body.  For 55 years, Foot Levelers has been the world's exclusive provider of custom-made Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers and has helped over a million people live happier, healthier lives.

What is a Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer?

A Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer is an insert placed in your shoe to help improve your body's balance, posture and alignment.  Stabilizers are the only orthotics designed to support all three arches of the foot.  By providing proper support for your feet, Stablilizers help create a balanced foundation for your body.

Why do I need Stabilizers?

Contrary to popular belief, many people with foot problems experience little or no pain in their feet.  Instead, the pain is transferred to other areas of your body.  Your feet are the foundation for your entire body, and having proper posture is the best way to support your body.  If you have weakness or unstable positioning in either foot, it can contribute to postural problems throughout the rest of your body.  By balancing your feet, Stabilizers help improve your posture, enhance your body's performance and efficiency, reduce pain, and contribute to your total body wellness.

How do I choose a Stabilizer?

There are four categories of Stabilizers:  Luxury, Smart, Comfort and Tough.  Dr. Shanahan will help you decide the level of support you need.  During your office visit, Dr. Shanahan will use the Foot Levelers' Associate Platinum and scan your feet.  A report will be generated from the digital foot scan that Dr. Shanahan will review with you.  From your foot scan images, Dr. Shanahan will determine if you can benefit from Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers.  She will assess how much protection from shock your body requires based on your scan and clinical evaluation, as well as information about your average daily activity level.  Call 319-366-2518 to make your appointment today!

Success Stories!

"I was having a lot of back pain and decided to have a Foot Levelers Custom Orthotics foot scan performed.  I had previously purchased three different types of orthotics over the years with very little results.  They never really felt comfortable.  I decided to purchase a custom orthotic by Foot Levelers through Powell Chiropractic Clinic.  It felt good immediately!  It probably has contributed to less foot and back pain."

"I am a high school student and play multiple sports.  My feet spend a lot of time in football cleats and track spikes.  They had started to hurt so my mom brought me into Powell Chiropractic Clinic and I had a foot scan done.  It turns out I was not getting enough support in my shoes and the bones of my feet where starting to separate.  I had custom orthotics made for my tennis shoes and after a few weeks my feet starting feeling great again!"

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness?
